Sound Play - Tuesdays Term 1 2025

Service Description

Sound Play runs for 10 weeks (during the school term) and is suitable for children aged 18 months to 4 years (Sound Play will only run for 9 weeks during Term 1 as Alana is unavailable in Week 1). Sound Play is designed to provide a space for children to participate in activities in a supportive environment while supporting their sound development. Each week, the children will be introduced to a new sound and will participate in focused activities including in book reading, songs and play to support their development. Each session runs for 45 minutes. The sounds targeted each week are: Week 1 - No Session (Alana is not available on this day) Week 2 - /p/ & /b/ Week 3 - /m/ & /n/ Week 4 - /w/ & /y/ Week 5 - /t/ & /d/ Week 6 - /k/ & /g/ Week 7 - /f/ & /v/ Week 8 - /sh/ Week 9 - /s/ & /z/ Week 10 - /l/ A workbook to compliment what is learnt during the 10 weeks including activity suggestions to continue to practise the sounds at home is included in the cost and is provided in Week 2. Mums, Dads, Grandparents and other close family members are welcome to attend the session with pricing being based per child. Younger or older siblings are also welcome to attend free of charge and are invited to join in during the activities as long as they are not disrupting the session. NOTE: Hello Friend Speech is located on the first floor of the Pender's Building with stair access only. Free and paid parking is available nearby in carparks located off West Street or at Nicholas Street Precinct. A toilet is available onsite. Booking policy: Payment is not charged at the time of booking. An intake form and invoice will be sent to the provided email with payment options. NDIS Funding: Children with Agency or Self Managed NDIS plans can book in for sessions using their funding. Cancellation policy: No refund will be provided for non-attendance.
